Cookin' From the Doghouse: Mac N Cheese with Chicken Strips

We could all use a little comfort food in a time like now. This recipe is loved by young and old alike-- a sure pleaser for the whole family. Sending love from the Doghouse!
Ingredients for Mac:
Elbow Macaroni
Extra Sharp Cheddar
Medium Cheddar
Parmesan- shredded
Sour Cream
Milk or half n half
Butter
Flour
Nutmeg
Ingredients for Chicken Strips:
Chicken breast/s
2-4 eggs
Bread crumbs (italian seasoned opt.)
Adobo seasoning (or other seasoned salt)
Parmesean- shredded
Cooking oil
Directions for Mac: Put a large pot of salted water on the stove to boil. Cut cheddars in about equal parts into cubes. In a saucepan, melt a couple tablespoons of butter, and mix in some flour. Let this bubble and cook a little bit. Add some milk or half-n-half to thin. Add in cubed cheese and stir continually to melt. When water is boiling, cook pasta according to package instructions. Continue to melt cheese in sausepan. Add in a little parmesean and sour cream. Add nutmeg to taste, a little goes a long way. Once pasta is drained, stir in melted cheese sauce. Serve hot!
Directions for Chicken Strips: Preheat oven to ____. Beat eggs in a medium bowl. In another bowl, put bread crumbs, adobo, and shredded parmesean. Cut chicken into strips. Grease a large baking sheet. Dredge chicken strips in egg, then coat in bread crumbs, then another dredge in egg, then another coat of bread crumbs. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, then flip and bake another 10 minutes, or until outside is browned and crispy. Serve hot!
